“I’m a big believer that in order to make a difference you don’t have to be brilliant, you don’t have to have special skills, all you have to do is truly care.”

Families in the Logan Heights neighborhood are still drying out their belongings from San Diego’s record-breaking storm on Jan. 22. They’re now bracing for their third storm in two weeks.
“We have to demo all the walls,” said Jose Castillo, who works for 911 Restoration, a disaster restoration company.
Castillo was busy helping residents with mold and drywall repairs on Monday before the storm arrived.
A few doors down, Virgil Magistrale, helped his injured neighbor and friend who was still in the process of clearing out his flood-damaged home.

A COMPANY IN THE “FRESH START” BUSINESS
“Our goal at 911 Restoration is to provide our customers with the fresh start they deserve – we know that when someone reaches out to us, they’re often in crisis. The help we provide starts when we shift our attention from our own challenges to understanding theirs; that’s when you can see they’re just trying to make it through the day. It turns out that properly restoring a home or business also requires kindness, patience, sensitivity, and empathy.”
